As a practising therapist, I am a firm believer in the power of 'micro-breaks'-taking just five minutes out of a chaotic day to step away from the noise, reset your focus, and ground your mind. I hand-assembled this unique sewing station to be a gentle, visual invitation to do just that.
Lovingly upcycled from a delicate vintage porcelain teacup found in a Lincolnshire antique centre, this piece is steeped in comforting nostalgia. The main pin cushion is crafted from authentic 1970s vintage cotton fabric, which I was lucky enough to source alongside its original vintage paper receipt.
To complete your creative sanctuary, the set includes a pair of embroidery scissors, a standard tape measure, and a selection of glass-headed pins. The porcelain teacup provides a satisfying, grounding weight that keeps the whole station steady and balanced while you work.
Keep this on a side table, bedside cabinet, or desk. When life feels busy, let it serve as a quiet anchor-inviting you to pause for a few mindful moments of slow stitching or mending.
