HISTORY - The Triumph Herald was a small family car produced from 1959 to 1971 as a rival to the Ford Anglia. It was hampered at the time as Standard Triumph had financial problems and were taken over by Leyland Motors in 1961. There were five body styles, saloon, coupe, convertible, estate and a van version which I've never seen and had the unusual characteristic of rubber bumpers.
This vehicle was the convertible with the 1296cc 4 cylinder engine giving 64bhp and was the last generation of Heralds before they phased out in May 1971.
PHOTOGRAPH - I took this picture at a Classic Car event in Surrey, August 2025.
