This little squirrel was too busy with its acorn to notice it was being turned into a shelf ornament.
Hand cut from a piece of maple, painted by hand and finished with a clear protective wax, this woodland-inspired piece is full of character despite its small size. The front features a bright red squirrel sitting beneath an oak tree with its treasured acorn, while the back has been left natural to show off the beautiful grain of the wood.
I love creating pieces inspired by nature and the countryside, and this one feels like a tiny woodland story captured in wood.
Perfect for a shelf, desk, windowsill or as a gift for anyone who loves squirrels, woodland animals and handmade folk art.
