A Super A3 Plus image (Paper size 483mm x 329mm) of Our Lady of Lanherne at St Mawgan convent in Cornwall.

I was asked by a friend if I could take an image of Our Lady in this beautiful location. It was winter and the light was not great, it was hard to capture any image. But I managed to capture this picture in the early morning with a slightly misty background. It was very cold.

When editing the image I found Our Lady's statue became bright compared to the other elements and seemed to stand out. I therefore decided to put this image into print for anyone who would want a lovely picture Of Mary.

Lanherne is a real hidden Cornish gem. It has an amazing history to it. The book 'Snow on the Hedges' an account of St Cuthbert Maine, mentions that he would often travel there from Golden manor on the south coast to say the Mass. The sheets over the hedge front (hence the title snow on the hedges) was a sign the priest was in attendance.

I would encourage anyone to visit this living and breathing Convent, which has had nuns present since 1796 when a group of Carmelites fleeing the French Revolution took up residence.

It is certainly a place to experience peacefulness, love and beauty.

This print would be a beautiful gift for anyone, but especially those who love Our Lady and the Carmelite Order.
