Full description
A greeting card based on one of our 'Curious Creatures of Bracklesham Bay' series of images, on card and handmade paper. This was the groyne that inspired the whole idea of the Curious Creatures in the first place.
For those who don't know, a groyne is a wooden structure, a number of which are erected along the length of a beach to prevent erosion of the beach. The groyne's shape, geometric at the outset, is over the years transformed by the action of the waves into a more organic contour and in the groynes we saw a whole world of creatures, with the construction bolts, and the pebbles that become lodged in the wood, providing eyes, teeth and other details.
Our additional illustration did the rest, and a Curious Creature came to life.

The card size is 135mm, and will be sent via second-class post.
