Meet Sailor Sam, the first member of my Block Bot Collection.
Sam started life as two simple basswood blocks and a handful of bolts and screws that had been sitting in my workshop waiting for a purpose. With a bit of imagination, some paint and a smile, he became a character all of his own.
Each Block Bot is individually handmade and no two will ever be exactly the same. Sailor Sam features a nautical-inspired design with his sailor's cap, anchor motif and classic blue striped outfit.
Made from two 5cm x 5cm basswood blocks, bolts and screws, painted by hand using acrylic paints and finished with a protective clear wax to enhance the natural character of the wood.
Perfect for a shelf, desk, workshop, studio or anywhere that could use a little handmade personality.
