Full description
A small hand-bound body brush made from naturally shed pine needles, wrapped with coloured cotton thread. It's a sensory treat, the bristles feel great against the skin and the smell, mmmm, takes you straight to the forest.
These brushes have lots of uses, but with the medium stiffness bristles, they have been used as dry brushes on the skin by my sauna buddies. Use with long upward strokes toward the heart to stimulate circulation and support lymphatic drainage. Firm enough for light exfoliation, gentle enough for regular use.
And the smell- well it's actually good for you! Organic compounds released by pine trees called phytoncides reduce stress, lower blood pressure and boost the immune system.
The pine needles have been washed and conditioned with a glycerine soak. A light oiling with almond or mineral oil will extend their life if they start to dry out.
