Full description
One of our "Curious Creatures of Bracklesham Bay' series of images. The series was inspired by the shapes that the groynes had been transformed into by the action over many years of the waves and the tides.
Groynes, for those unfamiliar with them, are wooden structures installed on beaches to prevent or limit the effects of those waves and tides in causing beach erosion. Instead, the tides and waves erode the groynes, and create captivating and intriguing shapes.
The stones and pebbles lodged in the groyne seemed to us like 'buttons' down its front so all it needed was a 'peak' added to its 'cap' to make a perfect Station Master, or some other Official.
The edited photo of the groyne is printed onto photographic paper and applied over the design.
The frame is 230mm x 230mm x 20mm, and can be wall-hung or can stand alone.
Choose between a black, white or wood frame.
The item will be sent, boxed, via Royal Mail 2-3 day, tracked service.
