Full description
Japanese knot bags are traditionally used in tea ceremonies but they also make easy to carry bags that keep all your belongings together.
They are great for an evening out or special occasion when you are looking for something small to carry your phone, keys and makeup. You can also use them as an project bag - great for holding a ball of wool whilst you crochet if you like to take it with you when you are on-the-go.
It has a simple but secure closure. You simply pop your things in, pull the longer loop through the shorter one, slip it onto your wrist and you're ready to go.
The colours in this beautiful 1960s cotton barkcloth reminded me of holidays in the mediterranean. I've used a lovely blue lining fabric to really make the colours sing.
- The bag measures 35 x 26cm at the longest/widest points whilst laid flat
- Fully lined using blue Kona 100% cotton OEKO-TEX Fabric
- Hand wash or pop it in your machine on a delicates wash, hang to dry and finish with a cool iron.
- Matching items available
This Japanese Knot Bag is one of a kind, entirely hand made by me in my studio in South Oxfordshire.
The vintage thread and needles are for display purposes only and not included in the sale of this item.
