Full description
The inspiration behind my hearts was to combine the Japanese concept of Wabi Sabi (embracing the beauty of imperfection and finding value in the authentic) with Kintsugi (the 'joinery' of repairing broken pottery with gold). Instead of hiding the cracks, these techniques highlight and honour the charm in flaws and encourage us to find the joy in mindfulness.
Your special heart has a piece of vintage fabric, softened with time, which honours natural growth and authenticity.
Combined with patchwork, which are mismatched pieces stitched together to create one design, these create a perfect "you are enough" affirmation. Life's challenges shape who we are and every journey is built from the perfectly imperfect tapestry of our experiences. You are unique, you are loved and you are enough.
The heart will also come with a small note describing the concept behind the design, so perfect for gift giving, or for yourself as a daily visual reminder.
Size: approx. 10cms
Patchwork heart is backed onto high quality soft wool felt and is slightly padded.
