Poppies and cornflowers - textile art picture from upcycled fabric scraps and embellished with hand embroidery.
Tiny pieces of left over silk and chiffon fabric are hand stitched to a piece of reclaimed tweed fabric making a scene of poppies and cornflowers at the field's edge. Hand embroidered grasses and wheat stems over a piece of reclaimed green net add depth to the picture.
Inspired by walks through the fields where scattered poppies grow through grasses at the edges.
Framed behind glass in a new frame.
Framed the picture measures 10 x 10 cm.
