A gorgeous primitive style Americana decoration, which would make a lovely addition to your 4th July displays - particularly for this year's semi quincentennial celebrations.
The star bunting is made from a piece of vintage quilt in shades of red, white & blue, backed in calico. Each star features either a printed or stamped label with the Independence year, 1776. The centre star's label is fixed with a rusty safety pin and bell.
It hangs from a length of red, white and blue sari silk, tightly twisted into a cord.
The total length of the joined stars is approx 40cm. There is approx 45cm cord both sides.
Please note that the vintage quilt used to make this bunting, may show signs of wear, commensurate of the age of the fabric, but only adds charm to the finished item. Please do not purchase if you prefer your fabrics to be perfect.
