Full description

Fused glass floral suncatcher with blue, orange and red flowers. Using these contrasting colours makes an interesting and striking piece whether hung in a window or on a wall.

This piece measures approximately 20 cm by 5 cm and is hung by ivory satin ribbon looped through a hole at the top of the piece.

This was made on a background panel of clear glass and then the details hand cut and individually placed to create the flowers. The small beads used to add detail and depth to the piece had already been through the kiln at a high temperature to create the little round shapes. This is all then fused together at a tack fuse leaving the piece slighted rounded but maintaining a tactile raised surface. This catches the light, creating a beautiful piece wherever it is displayed.

The piece has then been cold worked using a handheld diamond pad to ensure there are no sharp edges and finally the hole drilled in the top and the satin ribbon threaded through.
