Full description
Fused glass block colour suncatcher. This piece features 5 colourful pieces of glass consisting of one block colour placed on top of the other. It is simplistic in its design yet shows the beautiful coloured glass well.
This piece measures approximately 20 cm by 3 cm and is hung by ivory satin ribbon looped through a hole at the top of the piece.
This was made on a background panel of clear glass and then the coloured squares hand cut and placed. This is all then fused together at a tack fuse leaving the piece slighted rounded but maintaining a tactile raised surface. This catches the light, creating an interesting and beautiful piece.
The piece has then been cold worked using a handheld diamond pad to ensure there are no sharp edges, the hole drilled in the top and the satin ribbon threaded through.
