Full description
This hand-turned bowl is crafted from spalted beech, showcasing the striking natural markings and organic linework created during the spalting process. The contrasting tones and flowing patterns give the wood a distinctive, almost painterly appearance, making each piece completely unique.
Finished with Danish oil and sealed for protection, the surface enhances the depth of the grain while retaining a natural, tactile feel.
Versatile in use, this bowl can serve as a decorative or functional piece for wrapped sweets, dried botanicals, potpourri, jewellery, or seasonal items such as fruit and nuts. Equally, it stands on its own as a sculptural wooden object, highlighting the beauty found in naturally transformed timber.
