This unique 13x18 cm piece is a window into the brave, wild soul of Finland. Growing in dense thickets along the shimmering Baltic Sea and even lining the motorways, these roses are symbols of resilience, standing strong against the harshest winds.
Art with a Story: This piece is a tribute to a fragile ecological balance. In Finland, the Rosa rugosa (Beach Rose), while stunning, was classified as an invasive species to protect local biodiversity. By immortalising these roses, I transform an environmental loss into an eternal memory, celebrating their tenacity while honouring the need to protect our ecosystems.
Materials & Craftsmanship:
Created in April 2022 on eco-responsible Finnish birch.
Made with gold leaves, Finnish rose petals, rock crystal, and eco-friendly acrylic.
UV-protected to preserve its luminous textures.
Housed in a 23x28x6 cm box frame with AR 92 anti-reflective glass for crystal-clear viewing.
