Full description
Porcini is a mouse that is now deceased, but whose death was totally unrelated to fungi. For Porcini knew his fungi well and could discern a death cap from a button mushroom with ease. Indeed, it was Porcini's utter fascination with fungal bodies that dimmed his vigilance. We are told the cat got him and that he had earthy tones that paired well with garlic.
Porcini's head and paws are carved glacier porcelain, while his body is fashioned from a fungi themed Tim Holtz cotton fabric. His collar is a wood-brown silk that has been hand embroidered with mushrooms and embellished with bronze bells. His tail is leather and his buttons wood. Porcini is made to be seated, however his limbs move at hip and shoulder. For his heart stone I placed a brown jasper I thought evocative of woodland nooks.
DIMENSIONS: 12 cm high, 7 cm wide and 10 cm long.
MATERIALS: glacier porcelain, sand, stuffing, metal, leather, Tim Holtz cotton fabric, wooden buttons, ribbon, embroidery thread and one brown jasper stone.
PLEASE NOTE: Porcini is not a toy and is NOT suitable for children of any kind.
