Thank you for popping into my shop! I’m a retired Graphic Designer, but thankfully I haven’t retired from being creative. I still love the process of making things, experimenting with colour, pattern and texture, and giving new life to all sorts of materials.
You’ll find a colourful and eclectic mix of handmade pieces in my shop, with birds and flowers featuring strongly throughout. I particularly enjoy combining unexpected materials, patterns and colours to create unique mixed-media pieces — so there’s always something a little different to discover.
I’m also a big believer in happy postage! If you find more than one item you’d like, I ALWAYS combine postage and refund any excess. I know it can be a little alarming to see the postage total increase as you add items to your basket, but please don’t worry. I’ll package your purchases together and refund the excess postage on the same day your order is dispatched.

A little celebration of garden life, 'Blue Tit and Ox-Eye Daisies' is a colourful, one-of-a-kind mixed-media artwork inspired by the simple joy of watching birds amongst the flowers.
It would make a lovely gift for a nature lover, keen bird watcher, or anyone who enjoys bringing a splash of colour and the beauty of the garden into their home.
The artwork has been created using sections of colourful fabrics, including batiks, which I've carefully hand stitched onto a black background. The individual pieces are arranged to create the look of a stained-glass panel, giving the artwork a wonderfully bold and decorative feel.
The blue tit and cheerful ox-eye daisies have been created using a combination of decoupage papers and layered fabrics. I've then used inks and pastels to add shading, colour and delicate details, bringing the bird and flowers to life.
The combination of bright fabrics, intricate layering and hand stitching gives the piece plenty of texture and character, while the stained-glass effect makes the colours really sing.
A unique little piece of nature-inspired artwork, full of colour, texture and the cheerful spirit of a summer day.
It comes in an off-white, 8x10 inch mount with a 5.5x7.5 inch aperture. It is titled and signed on the reverse and comes with a matching gift tag.
