Full description
Throughout the Spring of 2025 I walked round London's Capital Ring, logging the trip in journals and gouache paintings. These, by degrees, became this book.
London is a living, moving painting in creation; it's constantly reworked. The most interesting things about it seem to lie in the unintended consequences of grand ideas. Wildflowers on rubble. Floating communities and verdant leisure spaces in disused industrial waterways. Glossy new buildings aging into their true shape. Territory is fought over - vibrant neighbourhoods cede to bland office districts. Parakeets assemble in the sky and terrapins in the water.
The book is an A5 sized, full-colour hardback, featuring over 65 original illustrations. 104 pages.
