I wanted to paint a portrait of a cat, the background orderly and symmetric with the cat's form breaking the symmetry and order as only a cat knows how to do. The colour pallet, and texture of the background, is designed to highlight the gloss and warmth of the fur.
Artwork comes framed in a solid wood, painted dark grey, frame. It is ready to hang without glass. Oil paintings stay healthiest with air flow over the canvas surface, it also allows you to see the texture of the paint without reflection. I have it listed with a bronze floral frame in my shop if you prefer something more traditional. It is also available unframed. I have the framed custom made by Picture Frames Express but assemble them myself.
