While I was living in Bristol I had a family of foxes that sunbathed on the lawn at the back of the house. I sketched and photographed them over several months. It proved quite a challenge as I was desperately to imbue them with the warmth of the summer sun.
I painted these as a triptych to capture the movements as well as the relationships of the fox cubs, this is Vol 1 of the three. They are paintings, that I hope, will keep a little bit of summer in the house through the dark winter months.
