Original artwork description:
In this painting, I ve portrayed a peacock perched on a sturdy branch, mid-call. Its posture is alert but unforced, and I ve kept the colours of its long tail rich but muted still colourful, just not overly vibrant. I wanted the moment to feel natural and unpolished, as if you ve just spotted the bird in a quiet corner of the woods.
The focus isn t on display, but on a simple, instinctive gesture a call into the open air. I tried to suggest a sense of presence without grandeur, letting the form and setting speak gently for themselves.
This painting is framed without glass so that it can breathe. It is painted on a canvas board in oils. I have my frames made to order by frames express, I then mount them myself to enable people the option of sorting out their own. I have a few frames available so message if this doesn't suit.
