Hi and welcome to Born Again Bears. This name began as the first bears I made were as keepsakes and memories, made by bringing precious items back to new beginnings as special bears to cherish.
I enjoy making all different types and sizes of bears and indeed mice and have enjoyed becoming part of the Folksy family as an outlet for this.
International postage is a new area for me and I will happily combine postage. Please contact me for a price for this and I will do what I can to keep the cost as low as possible.

Full description
I really enjoy giving new value to beautiful fabrics that have been overlooked for various reasons. Flora has been made from two vintage / antique tablecloths, the hand embroidery on one is still beautiful and very usable but sadly the centre of the cloth stained as is often the case. The other, all white, with woven floral decoration. Between the two there was sufficient material suitable to create this cute 14 inch bear and I was able to use the embroidered sections (without stains) on tummy, head and paw pads. The two lovely fabrics complement each other nicely. She is definitely one of a kind.
Flora is a collectable bear jointed with nut and bolt joints at head and limbs. She has English glass eyes and embroidered facial features. I have knitted her a cardi in 4ply wool and given this a vintage lace collar topped off with a crocheted tie and edging. She does however look beautiful with or without her cardi, as the mood strikes.
Definitely a bear for collectors, not as a toy for young children.
I will post Flora via Royal Mail 24hr tracked wrapped in tissue paper and included will be a label with my Born Again Bears stamp and the bear's name.
