I found an image of a vintage Emerald brooch, and I was so taken by its design that I wanted to try and make my idea of it on a larger scale.

This unique piece is full of drama and uses Miyuki glass seed beads, an array of green crystals and some fabulous colour-change watermelon crystal pears in a dazzling hand-made necklace.
The watermelon crystals cascade down the neckline in a waterfall of leaves and intense sparkle. As the piece moves, the crystals shimmer into fabulous life to display a range of gorgeous colours.
The necklace is reinforced with wire inside the neckline so that it always keeps it shape around the neck. The neckline is meticulously crafted from graduating colours of green crystals and comes fitted with a stainless steel extension chain. It will fit a neckline from 16 inches to 22 inches.
Dramatic, dazzling, and substantial, Alexandria is inspired by a vintage Emerald brooch.
