Small-batch production using American black walnut, American black cherry, oak, birch, tulipwood and sapele .
Each item is individually crafted and ready to ship.
I wanted to create a stable and simple way to hold a book open without relying on lightweight or adjustable stands that move or collapse during use.
Most book stands are either too mechanical or visually distracting. I wanted something more solid and calm — a fixed form that supports the book naturally while sitting quietly on a desk or bedside table.
The addition of the magnetic tray came from the idea of extending the function without complicating the structure. It allows the stand to hold small everyday items while keeping the overall form minimal and balanced.

Minimalist book stand handcrafted from solid American cherry and American walnut.
Designed as a calm and functional object, the stand holds books while bringing the warmth of natural hardwood to your desk, bedside table or living space.
The triangular structure supports books in a stable and balanced position while maintaining a clean and minimal appearance. The angled surface allows a book to rest comfortably whether the stand is placed on a desk, table or bedside surface.
A removable tray connects to the stand using neodymium magnets. When positioned on the stand it naturally aligns and settles into place with a subtle magnetic click. The tray can also be used independently as a small surface for a cup, phone or other everyday objects.
The solid hardwood construction gives the stand a reassuring weight and allows it to sit securely on the table. The surfaces are carefully sanded and finished with Danish oil to enhance the natural grain and maintain a warm matte character.
As the wood ages, it develops deeper tones and natural character rather than peeling or delaminating like composite materials.
