The piece was inspired upon receiving the metal off-cut from my hubby's metal fabricating business and my love of macro photography.

Full description
This one of a kind pendant was hand-crafted from a recycled mild steel off-cut. The steel was prepared for enamelling with a coat of ground-coat which allows the enamel to adhere to it. It then had a further two layers of enamel applied and was fired in the kiln. The pendant is decorated with carefully placed enamel threads and re-fired in a design inspired by microscopic bacteria. It is counter-enamelled for a professional wearable finish. The pendant has a sterling silver trace chain. It measures 3cms x 3cms with a total length of 26cms.
