This little robin was inspired by those quiet garden moments that often go unnoticed—the gentle sway of a branch, the pause between birdsong, the feeling of stillness on a crisp morning.
I imagined it perched on a simple swing, as if taking a break mid-flight, held in a soft, peaceful moment. There’s something comforting about robins—their familiarity, their quiet presence through the seasons—and I wanted to capture that sense of warmth and reassurance in wool.
As I shaped each fibre, the piece became less about realism and more about feeling—lightness, balance, and a touch of playfulness. A small reminder to slow down and notice the simple, beautiful moments around us.
