This colourway was inspired by soft evening skies — those pale, luminous moments when the day fades into a wash of white light and gentle pink. I wanted to capture that quiet, reflective feeling in glass, using streaky and translucent pieces to echo the softness of dusk.

Full description
This stained glass hot air balloon is made from a soft combination of streaky white and clear translucent glass, paired with warm opaque sunset pink for the alternate stripes and matching basket. The colours create a gentle, glowing effect when placed in natural light, with the clear sections catching and scattering brightness beautifully.
The finished piece measures approximately 19 cm in height and 11 cm in width, including the hanging hook.
Each section of glass is individually cut, foiled, soldered and cleaned by hand. Craft glass naturally contains small variations, textures and character marks that make every balloon completely unique. Colours have been photographed as faithfully as possible, though they may appear slightly different in various lighting conditions. Other colour combinations are available in separate listings.
This balloon is one of my earlier makes. The soldering is fully secure but not as refined as my current work, and this is reflected in the sale price.
Please display your glass in a safe location. If dropped, it may break. This item is decorative and not suitable for children.
