Welcome to Sewn Up Gifts.
I have had a thing about sewing for ever and have made most things. As a result I have collected fabrics from all over. Also some lovely people gift me fabric remnants and upholstery and sometimes it takes a while for me to find the right project for such one off fabrics. I really dislike discarding materials that I can sew into something wearable or decorative. I try to bring individuality to my gift ideas, so no one will ever be given the same.

Full description
1. An Indian inspired textile design presented in a square light wooden box frame.
2. The calico base has been given an ochre colour wash and then stabilised with fusible web.
3. I have used my sewing machine to draw the two outlined square patterns and stitched on the raw edge applique leaf shapes with free motion embroidery.
4. The frame can simply stand on any surface or be hung on a wall.
5. The frame is not glazed as the reflection of glass obscures the work.
