Sunstone is a Feldspar crystal (like Moonstone and Labradorite) with inclusions of Hematite and Goethite that give the warm, glittery flash that gives the stone its name.
It is believed to be a stone of happiness and optimism, alleviating stress and increasing confidence.

Full description
This necklace features a handmade pendant of a Sunstone nugget topped with a faceted black Onyx bead and highlighted with rose vermeil spacer beads.
The pendant hangs from a rose vermeil bail set between a pair of 6mm Sunstone beads, in the centre of ten Sunstone nuggets that are separated by 4mm faceted black Onyx and 1.8mm rose vermeil spacers.
The necklace graduates to trios of 6mm Sunstone beads separated by more faceted black Onyx and rose vermeil beads.
The piece fastens with a simple rose gold plated toggle clasp.
Rose vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with rose gold.
The Sunstone nuggets vary in size and shape, and are a light pink-peach colour with hints of the glittery golden flash that give this stone its name.
Sunstone is thought to foster happiness and optimism, alleviate stress and increase confidence.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, mother's day or as a special treat for yourself.
This necklace measures approximately 17.5 inches (44.5cm), excluding the pendant.
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
