The fabric reminded me of sea holly on a breezy shoreline and thistles catching the light on a quiet walk. The silvery grey background felt naturally restful, like the soft hush of evening. Adding a row of embroidered tulips brought a gentle contrast, a small line of texture echoing the calm rhythm of breathing as the body prepares for sleep.
The lavender and hops were harvested and dried from the garden, continuing the tradition of using natural materials with a long history of encouraging restfulness. The inner pouch is made from salvaged cotton taken from an old judo gi, part of an ongoing effort to reduce waste and give well‑loved fabrics a new purpose.
Each pillow is a small expression of calm, made to bring a gentle moment of ease at the end of the day.
Safety information
Some people may have an allergy or sensitivity to lavender or hops. If you know you react to either plant, this product is not suitable for you. People with respiratory conditions can also be sensitive to strong fragrances, so it is important to use the pillow with care and discontinue use if the scent feels overwhelming or uncomfortable. Lavender and hop pillows can leave a gentle scent on bedding. This is normal for natural botanicals. Hops also contain a fine yellow pollen that may stain the inner pouch over time. The inner bag is enclosed within the outer pillow to help protect bedding and to keep the botanical mix contained. The pillow is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of young children and pets. The outer fabric is not waterproof.

This lavender and hop sleep bag is made from a silvery grey fabric patterned with sea holly flowers, abstract thistles and other delicate blooms. The cool tones and gentle shapes create a peaceful, slightly coastal feel that works beautifully as part of a bedtime routine. Along the top front edge is a neat line of machine embroidered tulips, adding a small handmade detail without disturbing the calm of the design.
Inside is an inner pouch filled with dried lavender and hops gathered from my garden during the summer. This traditional botanical mix has been used for centuries to support rest and relaxation. Place the bag beside or under your pillow to let the soft scent rise as you settle down for the night. While it is not a guaranteed sleep remedy, many people find the fragrance soothing, and it has helped ease my own insomnia. Hops naturally contain a yellow pollen that can stain the inner pouch. For this reason, each one is enclosed inside an outer fabric bag to protect bedding and to let me use fabrics that bring character and comfort.
Please note that the fabric is not waterproof.
The finished item measures approximately 19 x 8.5 cm.
Postage cost is for second class, small parcel, tracked delivery. Any unused package and postage costs will be refunded.
