These pieces grew from a love of tiny stories and the quiet magic of everyday moments. Penny Black’s mouse characters have such expressive little faces, and I wanted to bring them to life with soft watercolour washes and a sense of movement. The balloon mice made me smile as they scampered across the page; the flower‑and‑bee scene felt like a gentle act of kindness; the lemon‑grating mouse was irresistible in its determination; and the walnut‑boat trio reminded me of childhood tales and slow, dreamy afternoons by the water.
I created these illustrations with crafters in mind — something joyful, versatile, and full of character that could become part of someone else’s creative story.

Full description
A set of four hand stamped mouse illustrations, created using Penny Black stamps on thick, lightly textured watercolour paper.
Each A4 sheet features a different tiny scene, full of charm and gentle storytelling:
1. Four adventurous mice scurrying across the page, each carrying a brightly coloured balloon.
2. A sweet little mouse holding up a pink flower to offer a visiting bee.
3. A determined mouse grating a lemon with great concentration.
4. Three mice drifting peacefully down a river in walnut shell boats.
These illustrations are perfect for card making, journalling, scrapbooking, children’s crafts, or framing as whimsical miniature prints. The paper is sturdy enough for cutting, layering, or adding your own embellishments.
Each sheet is individually hand stamped and watercoloured, so no two sets are ever exactly the same — a lovely, unique addition to any craft stash. There is also an uncoloured option, ideal for those who prefer to add their own colours, personalise the scenes, or enjoy a mindful colouring moment.
If buying mutiple items, unused postage costs will be returned to the buyer.
