A unique mixed media animal art piece.
I created this fellow with the intention of making it look like an old worn pull toy made to honour inperfection and age.
Hand and machine stitiched as well as hand painted in unbleached cotton. On his back are a little collection of books (giraffes read a lot don't you know). On his head is a glittery gold party hat topped with a pink pom pom. He has a bunting mane and his tail is fashioned from jute and silky embroidery thread.
He is mounted on a handmade wood platform with wood wheels held on by rusty wire and hand painted in acrylic paint. The jute pull string has a rusty pin threaded with colourful beads. I am in love with rusting things at the moment and i take the opportunity to use them whenever i can.
A perfect quirky addition to your decor, or a wonderfully different gift for those that love something a little different.

This piece measures: 16 c 26 cm approx (length of platform x height from pom pom to base.
n.b. this is not atoy and is unsuitable for young children.
