Inspired by life in the Herefordshire countryside, this piece reflects the simple traditions of rural living – trusted dogs, muddy boots and time spent outdoors. By repurposing natural materials, I aim to honour countryside heritage while creating artwork that feels calm, meaningful and rooted in the land.

Full description
This handmade artwork celebrates the quiet moments of country life – a loyal gun dog waiting patiently beside wellies and a shotgun, ready for a day in the field.
Created using ethically sourced pheasant feathers, each element is carefully cut and placed by hand to form a simple silhouette filled with natural colour, texture and movement. Mounted on textured art paper and finished with a clean neutral mount, the piece has a timeless countryside feel that suits both traditional and modern rural homes.
No two artworks are ever the same. The natural variation in feathers ensures each piece is completely unique, making this a thoughtful gift for country folk, dog lovers or anyone who appreciates rural heritage.
