I love wildlife and take a lot of my art inspiration from nature, so creating a stained glass badger felt like a natural next step in my woodland series. I decided to design a set of animals using a simple dinner‑plate‑sized circle as my starting point. Working within that rounded shape gave each creature a gentle flow, and the badger slowly emerged from the glass — the strong markings, the curved back, the soft taper of the snout.
The unique black and white Murano glass brought the design to life from the very first cut. Its natural swirls and variations shaped the final look, giving the badger its own personality and presence. Because this is the only one made, it carries the joy of a true one‑off creation: a small celebration of craft, character and the quiet beauty of British wildlife.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass badger, made using a striking black and white Murano glass that gives the piece its bold, unmistakable markings. This is an original Rowan Handmade design, and there is only one in existence — a truly unique addition to your home.
The finished badger measures approximately 22 cm high by 14 cm wide, including the hanging hooks. There are two hooks at the top, and for stability it is recommended that you hang the piece using both points.
Each badger is crafted using the traditional Tiffany foiled glass method. Every section of glass is hand cut, edged with copper foil, soldered and cleaned, and sometimes finished with patina. Craft glass naturally contains tiny textures and variations, making every piece completely original. The colours shown in the photographs are as accurate as possible.
This badger looks wonderful in a window, on a wall hook, or as part of a woodland themed display. The contrast of the Murano glass gives it a strong, characterful presence — a little moment of wild woodland magic brought indoors.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
