This cat was inspired by the gentle mischief and quiet companionship of my own ginger feline friend. I wanted to capture that mix of curiosity, warmth, and soft presence that cats bring into a home. The shape grew from watching him stretch in a patch of sunlight, tail curled just so, completely content in his own world.
The making process was slow and intentional, allowing the character of the glass to guide the final form. The finished piece holds that sense of calm and personality, offering a small moment of warmth and charm wherever it hangs.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass cat suncatcher, created from an original Rowan Handmade design. The piece measures approximately 23 centimetres in height and 17 centimetres in width. It can be hung by the curled tail using the attached hook, or displayed on a stand where the colours can be enjoyed throughout the day. The glass is most striking when lit from behind, allowing the warm tones to glow and the character of the design to shine through.
Each element is hand cut and crafted using the traditional Tiffany copper foil method. Every piece of glass is wrapped, soldered, cleaned, and polished by hand. Sometimes a patina is added to deepen the finish. Craft glass naturally carries tiny variations and textures, which means every cat is completely unique. The photographs were taken in natural light to show the colours as faithfully as possible.
This is a one of a kind piece, inspired by my own ginger companion and made with care in my small Lincolnshire studio.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
