This sculpture grew from the idea of a tiny shoal drifting through still water at dusk — that moment when the world softens and colours deepen into pinks, mauves and twilight purples. The driftwood felt like a shoreline found at the end of a quiet walk, shaped by tide and time, waiting for a story.
The fish themselves were imagined as gentle companions: small, bright, and curious, moving together in a slow, shared rhythm. Copper stems echo the warmth of the setting sun, while the glass holds the last glow of evening light.
It’s a piece about calm waters, soft colours, and the quiet joy of watching small things move together in harmony.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
Three hand cut stained glass fish shimmer in soft pinks and purples, each one mounted on a slender copper stem and secured into a piece of kiln dried, waxed and buffed driftwood. The glass catches the light beautifully, shifting from gentle blush tones to deeper violet depending on the time of day.
The driftwood base is responsibly sourced and carefully finished to a smooth, tactile sheen, giving the sculpture a natural warmth and grounding presence. The copper stems rise gracefully from the wood, allowing the fish to appear as though they are gliding in a quiet current.
This is a one of a kind piece, designed to bring a touch of colour, movement and calm to a shelf, windowsill or desk. It’s lightweight, stable, and made with traditional stained glass techniques using quality materials that will last for years.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
Price is for the glass item and wood base only.
The fish will be taken out of the wood and packed individually, therefore a minimal amount of self-assembly will be required on delivery. Postage and packaging costs is for a small parcel up to 1 kg, tracked delivery. We refund any excess postage costs if they occur.
