This tulip was inspired by the bold lines and rich contrasts of art‑deco design—strong silhouettes softened by gentle curves. The deep red glass felt like the perfect choice for a flower associated with love, courage, and devotion, while the iridescent green leaves add a touch of shifting light, echoing the way real foliage catches the sun.
The piece grew from a desire to create something both vibrant and grounding: a tulip that feels alive with colour yet still carries the calm, intentional rhythm of hand‑cut glass. Made slowly and mindfully, it holds that sense of warmth and presence, offering a small moment of brightness wherever it hangs.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
A single stained glass tulip in a stylised art deco form, crafted from deep red glass that glows warmly when the light moves through it. The leaves are made from iridescent green glass, shifting subtly between tones as the angle of the light changes. Together, the colours create a striking, timeless piece with a quiet sense of strength and elegance.
The finished tulip measures approximately 21cm high by 11cm wide, including the hanging hook. One secure hook is soldered to the reverse; for safety, it’s best to hang the piece from a solid fixing rather than a temporary or lightweight hook.
Each element is hand cut and shaped using the traditional Tiffany copper foil method. Every piece of glass is wrapped, soldered, cleaned, and polished by hand; sometimes a patina is added to deepen the finish. Craft glass naturally carries tiny variations, swirls, and textures, making every piece completely unique. Photographs are taken in natural light to show the colours as faithfully as possible.
This is the only tulip available in this exact colourway, making it a special one off piece
