These hearts began as a way to explore how colour and light can express emotion in a simple, honest shape. The deep red glass has a warmth that feels timeless, and choosing each piece is a careful process of finding the right balance of clarity, richness and texture. When the light shines through, the colour glows with a soft intensity that feels both comforting and uplifting.
The Tiffany method suits this design beautifully. The slow rhythm of cutting, foiling and soldering allows each curve to take shape with intention. Making them as a pair adds a sense of connection — two hearts that belong together, similar but never identical, each with its own tiny variations that make them feel alive in the light.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This listing is for a pair of medium stained glass hearts, cut from a rich transparent dark red glass. They are part of a wider colour range, and the final photograph shows the other options available if you are looking for a different shade.
Each heart measures around 9 cm in height and 9 cm in width, with its own separate hook for hanging. The glass has natural variations in tone and texture, so there may be small differences from the photographs shown. These variations are part of what makes each pair unique.
Every heart is made using the traditional Tiffany foiled glass method. Each piece of glass is hand cut, edged with copper foil, soldered, cleaned and sometimes finished with patina. Craft glass often contains tiny textures and patterns that catch the light beautifully, giving every heart its own character. The colours in the photographs have been shown as faithfully as possible.
These hearts look lovely in a window, on a wall hook, or as part of a seasonal display. They make thoughtful gifts for anniversaries, weddings, Valentine’s Day, or simply as a quiet message of love, friendship or appreciation.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
