The idea for this piece comes from the sense of movement and magic in the stories that inspired it. The wispy white wings suggest a flash of motion, while the mirrored gold centre brings a warm glow that feels lively and full of energy. Together they create a small, joyful ornament that carries a hint of wonder and makes a charming addition to any display.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
A hand crafted stained glass golden snitch made from wispy white glass for the wings and a gold mirror centre that catches and reflects the light beautifully. The finished piece measures approximately 5 cm in height and 21 cm in width, and it can be hung from two small hooks to keep it balanced or displayed on a stand. It shows its colours and textures best when light shines from behind, and it also makes a striking and playful decoration on the Christmas tree.
Each snitch is cut and shaped by hand using the traditional Tiffany foiled glass method. Every piece of glass is edged with copper foil, carefully soldered, cleaned and sometimes finished with patina to deepen the tones. Craft glass naturally contains small variations and character marks which make every piece unique, and the colours shown in the photographs have been captured as faithfully as possible.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
