This piece was inspired by the timeless beauty of the red rose—its associations with love, courage, remembrance, and devotion. I wanted to capture the feeling of a single bloom held in stillness, glowing softly as the light moves through it. The combination of deep red wisps, translucent highlights, and iridescent greens and golds creates a layered, luminous effect that shifts throughout the day.

Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
A single stained glass red rose panel, approximately A5 in size, measuring around 21.5 cm tall by 15 cm wide. The rose is crafted from a deep red wispy glass for the main petals, with a lighter, more translucent red glass at the top to add depth and gentle variation. A soft, swirling white wispy glass forms the background, allowing the red tones to glow when lit from behind. Iridescent bottle green glass shapes the sepals, while iridescent golden yellow glass creates a warm, luminous stem.
Two hanging loops are soldered securely at the top of the panel, and it is recommended that both are used when displaying the piece.
Each element is hand cut and shaped using the traditional Tiffany copper foil method. Every piece of glass is wrapped, soldered, cleaned, and polished by hand; sometimes a patina is added to deepen the finish. Craft glass naturally carries tiny variations, swirls, and textures, making every panel completely unique. Photographs are taken in natural light to show the colours as faithfully as possible.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
