The idea for this star came from the colours that linger in the sky just after sunset, when the last light glows softly before evening settles in. The clear hammered glass brings a sense of stillness and clarity, while the rich orange quarters echo the warmth of fading daylight. Together they create a small moment of calm and brightness, a reminder of guidance and hope that feels especially comforting during the winter season.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.

Full description
A hand crafted stained glass Bethlehem star made from clear hammered textured glass for the four main points and a rich sunset orange glass for the quarter points, giving the whole piece a warm glow that catches the light beautifully. A small hook is attached so it can hang from your Christmas tree, a festive garland, above your nativity scene or in a window as a suncatcher. Other colour combinations are available in separate listings.
Every star is cut and shaped by hand using the traditional Tiffany foiled glass method. Each piece of glass is edged with copper foil, carefully soldered, cleaned and sometimes finished with patina to deepen the tones. Craft glass naturally contains small variations and character marks which make every star unique, and the colours shown in the photographs have been captured as faithfully as possible.
The star measures approximately 22 cm in height and 15 cm in width at its widest point.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
