This Bethlehem star was inspired by the quiet beauty of winter light and the way iridised glass can catch even the faintest glow. The hammered texture gives the main points a frosted, crystalline feel, while the deep purple Van Gogh glass adds a sense of richness and depth — a small echo of candlelight, midnight skies and traditional nativity colours.
The design grew from a desire to create a star that feels both timeless and contemporary: something that works beautifully on a Christmas tree, but also stands alone as a year‑round suncatcher for anyone who loves light, reflection and handmade craft. The Tiffany method allows each point to take shape slowly and precisely, coming together to form a balanced, radiant whole.
Safety information
This item is glass and therefore breakable. Please handle with care and secure the item to a fixed point. All edges have been ground to remove sharpness. Consider how you display the glass and that it is in a safe location away from wagging dog tails or small hands! Lead solder has been used but this is very low risk. However, I always wash my hands after handling to reduce the risk to zero.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This listing is for one stained glass Bethlehem star. The four main points are made from clear iridised hammered and dimpled glass, giving the star a soft, shimmering glow. The quarter points are made from textured Van Gogh deep purple glass, adding depth and a rich jewel tone contrast. Other colour combinations are available in separate listings.
Each star has a hook for hanging from your Christmas tree, garland, above a nativity scene, or in a window as a suncatcher.
The star measures approximately 22 cm in height and 15 cm in width at the widest points.
Each piece is crafted using the traditional Tiffany foiled glass method. Every section of glass is hand cut, edged with copper foil, soldered and cleaned. Craft glass naturally contains tiny textures and variations, making every star unique. The colours shown in the photographs are as accurate as possible.
Please ensure that you place (and secure) your glass in a safe location; if the piece falls it is likely to break. The item is not a toy.
