Full description
Winter Moonlight. A felt hare sits gazing at a glittery felt moon. Hand painted trees and shrubs. Red embroidered berries give a wonderful of colour. The background is a upholstery remnant in splashes of blue and white perfect for this winter scene.
When I found this fabric remnant in a discount basket, it immediately brought to mind winter scenes. I used inktense pencils to outline trees and shrubs and added splashes of white watercolour paint to add a snowy effect. The hare and moon are cut from leftover pieces of felt. The red berries are embroidered French knots in a lustre effect embroidery thread.
I've placed the artwork in an unglazed white box frame measuring 17 x 17 cm.
