I regularly cycle in the Yorkshire countryside and very occasionally will spot a hare. Usually just its tail or ears bobbing away as it darts across a field.

This is an experimental piece, which is why it has been added to Folksy's Summer Seconds event to make room for some new creations!
A hare sits amongst flowers.
Hand stitched using a mix of traditional embroidery and Kantha stitching. Suffolk puffs with button centres give texture to the scene. Stitched onto upcycle fabric - a linen tray cloth for the background and two pieces of reclaimed fabric with the lining.
I've placed it in a new white box frame.
Framed it measures 27 x 27 cms.
