This Regency-inspired ostrich feather plume hair piece is a refined addition to my collection of historical hair accessories.
Simple yet striking, it is designed to add height, movement, and a touch of quiet decadence to Regency-themed costumes, period styling, and special occasion hairstyles.
Historically influenced by Regency fashion — when a single statement feather often adorned a coiffure, headpiece, or hat — this piece has been thoughtfully adapted for modern wear.
It offers the romance of period style with practical, wearable construction.
The plume is finished with a satin ribbon-wrapped stem that gently pushes into an up-do hairstyle.
The stem is lightly wired, allowing it to be subtly bent for comfortable positioning.
A discreet ribbon loop at the back allows a hair grip to be added for extra security, making it suitable for movement, events, and evenings spent dancing. It may also be used as a discreet fan.
Each hair piece is made using natural ostrich feathers.
As with all natural materials, slight variations and small imperfections may be present, adding to the unique character of each piece.
