Gold vermeil (pronounced "ver-may") is a high-quality type of gold jewellery consisting of a
thick layer of real gold over a sterling silver base. It provides the luxurious look of solid gold at a more affordable price point. The term can only be used when the base metal is sterling silver only. It is not the same as gold plate or gold filled over cheaper base metals such as brass or copper.

A very rare opportunity to own a beautiful vibrant untreated natural tourmaline necklace. The hand cut free faceted rondells total 62 cts in gemstone weight. In the centre are a few very prized parapa blue/green stones! Within the necklace design are 3mm heavy weight gold vermeil beads adding a touch of opulence and sparkle during wear.
For the main construction professional stainless steel jewellers wire has been used for added strength and lasting durability finished off with a 6mm gold vermeil lobster style clasp, connector ring and crimp covers.
This attractive feminine necklace will be an ideal gift for ladies whom value and appreciate the beauty of genuine gemstone jewellery to wear on a daily bases.
