Who doesn’t love a Highland Cow!? They’re such great animals & I love the different shades blended in the wool creating the hair. I like adding a 3D aspect to my pictures so the horns slightly stick out.

Meet Hamish, the shaggiest Highland Cow you ever did see!
This one-of-a-kind textile artwork was born from my love for the rugged charm of Scotland. I spent hours carefully building up layers of rich ginger and golden wools to create that iconic, shaggy coat. I wanted him to look like he's just weathered a blustery day on the moor!
I used a real mix of wool textures to give him character: soft merino for the face, longer, slightly coarser wools for his massive fringe, and beautiful creamy-white wool for those big horns.
He has been needle-felted by hand, making him completely unique. He has such a curious expression, even peeking through that wool!
The Details:
Subject: Handmade Needle Felted Highland Cow Portrait.
Medium: Merino wool, natural locks, and art fibers on a felted background.
Size: The wool art itself measures approximately 16 x 16cm (7 x 7") and with the mount it is 25 x 25cm (10 x 10") big.
Presentation: This piece comes mounted in a high-quality card mount. It is ready to be popped into your favorite standard-sized square box frame. (Example shown in the last photo)
Shipping: He will be carefully packaged flat in a protective sleeve and a hardback parcel envelope to arrive in perfect, fluffy condition.
