Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.
Each year we have a bluetit family nest in our bird box, and this year was no exception. I love nothing more than to watch mum and dad fly in and out of the box whilst nesting, and this year we actually saw from our kitchen window one of the babies taking their first flight - I can't tell you how magical that was to watch.

Printed 'Bluetit' greetings card by Michelle Corbin
A delightful card, that feels like a piece of art itself and is perfect for those special bird lovers in your life. Ideal for any occasion, with it's thoughtful and unique qualities.
Inspired by the family of bluetits nesting in our garden, the design began as an original fabric applique and free machine embroidered artwork, which was embellished with painted elements and most of the fabrics used in the original piece, were upcycled or scraps discarded from other projects. It was then photographed to a high quality and printed onto luxurious FSC certified Tinteretto Gesso card.
The card is left blank inside for you to write you own lovely message and comes with a Kraft envelope inside a compostable cello bag.
