Hi and welcome to The Old Button Sews, where I sell beautiful gifts designed and sewn by me, together with a range of sew-it-yourself craft kits.
Most items are dispatched within 2-3 working days, and I post Tracked 24 at a flat cost, no matter how many items you buy. (Cards and bookmarks are sent First Class, at a lower postage cost).

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
In stunning maple leaf and pumpkin spice colours, my textile craft kit is ideal for sewing Autumn textile projects or just cosy slow stitching in front of the fire. A rich collection of fabrics and trims, including vintage, preloved and reclaimed textiles in oranges, reds, plums and pinks, offset with cream and green.
Available in 2 sizes - both have the same pieces shown in the photos; the larger box has a second foundation piece of tweed wool, and even more trims and embellishments.
Your box will include a piece of calico fabric for a foundation to sew into, needles and pins, and my introduction to slow stitching leaflet and stitching guide (you can swap this for an emailed copy plus extra textiles - see options).
The fabrics and trims are all carefully selected from my own collection or sourced from local vintage shops and individual sellers, and include:
- vintage hand-embroidered doily
- vintage lace
- machine embroidered motif
- scrap of a Welsh wool blanket
- salvaged curtain samples
- vintage Laura Ashley cotton fabric
- quilting cotton remnants
- scrap of antique Welsh quilt
- salvaged upholstery braids, ribbon and ric-rac
- hand-dyed linen yarn and wool yarn
- old buttons (will vary)
- embroidery threads in different colours
